He is leading the DAAD-funded project “Middle East Productive Landscapes” (MeProLand). After his studies, doctorate, and research activities at the University of Göttingen, Dirk spent eight years in leading positions in medium-sized retail cooperation. In 2011, he was appointed professor at the University in Worms. In 2014, he moved to Nuertingen-Geislingen University.
